Design Field
Interior and Furniture design

My Education
Interior Design, Penninghen Graphic Arts and Interior Architecture High School, Paris, France

My Work
"The company, 'deMVW - la maison du design' was created by myself and my partner, Virginie Moriette. Our two main activities are furniture creation and interior design. de MVW transposes Chinese cultural elements and local craft techniques into designs which reflect and satisfy the demands of the evolving global design market. Clients have included L'Oréal, Petit Pont, 2k Games and the Accord Group. In 2006, we were awarded the Best Furniture Design prize by Elle Decoration China."

Issues in the design sector in my country
"The context of the Chinese design industry crosses the borders of China itself into the international design scene. In the Chinese design sector, everything is possible. But there is still an enormous amount of work to be done. Chinese designers think in a specific, Chinese way, rather than in a 'natural' design-related way, which imposes 'national' constraints onto the design scene."

Innovative design trends from China
"I would very much like to showcase our whole work - not one piece by itself, but the whole ensemble. One piece of design can never represent the totality of a designer's work, which is only understandable by looking at the diversity of the various products."
